Have you heard? Google is shutting down its Google+ social network. The corporation cites “low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers’ expectations” as the reason for folding. The high standard that consumers expect from Google is based on the extensive list of applications it has developed. And it’s exactly why Google has become the online giant that it is.
If you have a Google + account or link/icon on your website, it should be removed as it will become a bad link on your site when the social network is taken off-line. It will take several months for the dismantling of this platform, but on April 2, 2019 Google + accounts and pages will be shut down and content will be deleted.
If content resides on your Google + page that you want to preserve, you should download and save it. Just make sure you do it before the April 2 deadline. Our team at ZOO Media Group can assist you in removing and updating your website social icons and links if you are not able to do it yourself. To learn more about the shutdown of Google +, click here.
